Information Collection and Use It is not necessary to provide Static Media with your personally identifiable information to use the Static Media Websites, and unless you subscribe to a Static Media newsletter, Static Media does not collect personally identifiable information in connection with the operation of the Static Media Websites. If you contact Static Media by email through the Static Media Websites, Static Media may keep a record of your contact information and correspondence, and may use your email address, and any information that you provide to Static Media in your message, to respond to you. Static Media treats this information as it would treat any other unsolicited business correspondence, and has no obligation to keep this information confidential, nor to take any security measures to protect this information.

When you visit a Static Media Website, Static Media's servers automatically record information that your browser sends whenever you visit a website ("Log Data"). This Log Data may include information such as your IP address, browser type or the domain from which you are visiting. For most users accessing the Internet from an Internet service provider, the IP address will be different every time you log on. Static Media uses Log Data to monitor use of the Static Media Websites and the services we offer via the Static Media Websites and for the Static Media Website's technical administration.

Newsletters and Contests If you subscribe to a Static Media newsletter, we collect your email address, a record of the emails sent to you, and (using tracking pixels, as explained below) details on whether you've opened or clicked them. We may also collect your IP address, the signup source URL, and approximate geolocation. This data helps us send newsletters, marketing opportunities from us and our partners, and administrative communications while allowing us to provide relevant content and target advertisements. We work with an email service provider ("ESP") to send our newsletters. Our ESP will have access to your information as reasonably necessary to perform services on our behalf and is obligated not to disclose or use it for other purposes. If we acquired a newsletter, any previously collected data may be transferred to our ESP. We may share anonymized hashed emails with third-party advertising providers for ad targeting, but your actual email address will never be shared. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any external websites we link to.

Data is stored by our ESP. We will not sell or rent your email address. You can unsubscribe from newsletters or marketing communications at any time using the link in the email. Unsubscribing changes your status to 'Unsubscribed' in our email service provider but does not delete your data, which we retain in order to be able to record our compliance with your request. To fully delete your records, submit a request at privacy@static.com.

Occasionally, we may run giveaways, sweepstakes, or other promotions in partnership with third parties. In such cases, we may have an agreement where signing up for the contest will also subscribe you to the third party's newsletter. This third-party newsletter will be governed by its own privacy policy. When this occurs, we will always make this clear to you prior to your participation. Our contests are governed by separate contest terms and conditions, which we will provide to you before you participate.

Cookies and Other Analytic Tools Like many websites, Static Media Websites also use "cookie" technology to collect additional website usage data and to improve the Static Media Website and the services offered via the Web Site. A cookie is a small data file that Static Media's servers transfer to your computer's hard disk. Static Media may also use tracking pixels. Tracking pixels are small graphic images, which are used in email messages to determine whether the messages were opened and the links were clicked, or are used on the Static Media Websites to collect information about the browser and device viewing the Static Media Websites. Static Media does not use cookies or tracking pixels to collect personally identifiable information.

Static Media mainly uses "session cookies", which enable certain features of the Static Media Websites and services offered via the Static Media Websites, to better understand how you interact with the Web Site and services we offer via the Static Media Websites, to monitor aggregate usage by our users and web traffic routing on the Static Media Websites, and to improve the Static Media Websites and services offered via the Static Media Websites. Session cookies should be deleted from your computer when you disconnect from or leave the Static Media Websites.

Static Media also uses a persistent cookie on some of the Static Media Websites that stays on your computer for a period of time after you leave the Static Media Websites, for the sole purpose of ensuring that, where rating, voting, or survey functions are available, you do not participate more than once.

Third Party Advertisers Static Media Websites includes advertising from third party advertisers. Static Media does not provide any personally identifiable information to these advertisers.

Third party advertisers, or companies working on their behalf, may serve directly to your browser the advertisements that appear on the Static Media Websites, which allows them to receive Log Data (as defined above). They may also use cookies, JavaScript, tracking pixels and other technologies to measure the effectiveness of their ads and to personalize advertising content. Static Media does not control any third party advertiser tracking or measurement technologies, and the information practices of third party advertisers are not covered by this Privacy Policy. Information Sharing and Disclosure Static Media cooperates with government and law enforcement officials or private parties, to enforce and comply with the law. Static Media may disclose any information about you to government or law enforcement officials or private parties as Static Media, in its sole discretion, believes necessary or appropriate to respond to claims, legal process (including subpoenas), to protect the property and rights of Static Media or a third party, the safety of the public or any person, to prevent or stop any illegal, unethical, or legally actionable activity, or to comply with the law.

Security Because Static Media does not collect any personally identifiable information from the Static Media Websites, Static Media does not take any specific security measures to protect the information we do collect.

Our Policy Towards Children Static Media Websites are not directed to children under 18. If a parent or guardian becomes aware that his or her child has provided Static Media with personally identifiable information without their consent, he or she should contact Static Media at privacy@static.com. If Static Media becomes aware that a child under 13 has provided Static Media with personally identifiable information, Static Media will remove such information from our files.
